Our installations invite the visitor to discover the relationship between objects, their function and history through multimedia testimonies and multi-sensorial exhibition components.

THE PATH OF THE VISITOR

In the renewed spaces of the Museum the main themes are related to hemp cultivation and use, addressing both the domestic sphere and sectors of production. You are invited to admire a rich collection of textile artefacts used for manufacturing and weaving, which have been donated by the families of the community.

The installation invites the visitor to discover the relationship between objects, their function and history through multimedia testimonies and multi-sensorial exhibition components. Among these, there is the installation “Spinning Dolls” realised by the English artist Liliane Lijn. Major renovations include new weaving workshops located next to the museum which apply bio-architecture measures in hemp and lime. Thanks to this innovative project, the Museum obtained the Green Heart Quality brand.

The Museum was designed by Glenda Giampaoli, Patrizia Cirino, Francesco Farabi and Paolo Sacchetti, experts in Ethno-anthropological Heritage.

Come to visit us at the Museum to complete your experience. We are waiting for you!
