Educational activities for schools

SCHOOLS

Educational programmes 2026-2027
In line with the Museum’s mission, we offer heritage education experiences for different audiences, taking place in dedicated spaces specifically designed for the practical activities that complement the museum visit.

By weaving together knowledge and learning by doing, practice and reflection, the Museum offers a range of educational programmes that explore selected themes related to textiles and hemp, promoting an active approach to heritage education.
The activities are designed to ensure maximum inclusion. Museum staff are available to discuss any specific needs and adapt the activities where necessary, including those presented in the educational programme available in the brochure.
Activities can be booked using the dedicated form, which must be completed together with the privacy notice and sent to info@museodellacanapa.it.
The booking is confirmed upon receipt of the signed form.

SPECIAL OFFER FOR TEACHERS
By completing the dedicated form, teachers and school leaders can visit the Museo della Canapa free of charge at any time of the year, including outside school hours.

PCTO – PATHWAYS FOR TRANSVERSAL SKILLS AND ORIENTATION
(formerly School–Work Alternation)
With the aim of developing an ongoing network of relationships between the Museum and local schools, encouraging direct and in-depth knowledge of the Museum’s collections and supporting students in their future career choices through first-hand experience of the workplace, the Museo della Canapa welcomes students on work placements as part of specific PCTO programmes.
The Museum’s Educational Service is available to work with teachers to assess and develop individual projects tailored to the specific educational needs of each school.
During their PCTO placement, students are supported by qualified tutors with expertise in museology, who not only coordinate the various activities but also provide guidance throughout the placement, encouraging learning and active participation.

INTERNSHIPS AND WORK PLACEMENTS
The Museo della Canapa offers undergraduate students and graduates the opportunity to undertake a period of practical training.
Internships may focus on different areas of the Museum’s work, including ethnography, heritage education, management of the historical archive, research and textile prototyping.
Applications will be assessed on the basis of each candidate’s profile. Please send your CV to info@museodellacanapa.it.
